Traditional masculinity is DEAD

Masculinity is close to dying out, women are disappointed by men. But is there a deeper reason why they act less masculine?

Nowadays, men are scared to express their masculinity. Countless women, experience a relationship where they proceed to act more masculine than their actual partner.  Social media and many more factors lead to the death of masculinity. Even Vogue posted an article about how embarrassing is to have a boyfriend; and it does affect many men in a spectrum of being romantic or caring towards their loved one.

Since men are now more worried about the actions they give towards someone, they will hide their true feelings or not even be bothered to express their love, afraid they will be faced either a positive reaction or negative; which could lead to them even being accused in sexual assault.

Talking about social media, I could mention that men are getting brainwashed. On platform like TikTok, there is a lot of misogynist users, which tell young men how to act with women to “not get hurt”, but instead these users just make them be avoidant of women. There are also many misogynist comedians, which express their hatred towards women through their jokes, they are very liked by men and especially young men.

So, what does it give? Due to not having anyone next to them to show how “masculine” they are, men proceed to post themselves flexing their muscles on TikTok and especially with a title which has a misogynist meaning behind it. This makes them desperate in showing off the fact of how “masculine” they are, even though masculinity is not all about having strength and muscles.

As a woman, I could say that for me and for many others, masculinity is shown through actions like holding a door, caring about close ones and even simple things like helping an elderly person to cross the road. This not only shows humanity but also the sense of being a gentleman – which is a big masculine factor.

Mental health affected many men in previous years. This gives another reason why men are more insecure in themselves. Nowadays, typically men get lower results in college than women, they have less friends and the rate of young boys which are growing up without a farther figure is increasing each year. At first, it doesn't really seem like a big deal and not an excuse of why men are not as masculine, but if you think of how male figure used to be presented: smart, intelligent, with good manners. It really does now look like a big deal. Men are accustomed to being better than women in every aspect which is possible, and the fact that right now women get better grades than them, it really does lower their ego.

The rice of feminism, and especially radical feminism, made men fearing making any move towards women in public. So now if guy likes a woman on the street, he has a fear of asking for her number as some women might take it in a wrong way. Now, a lot of their actions could be seen as sexual assault, and many people would even blame someone for SA even though they never did it and if its believable, this man might be locked up for a thing he never done.

Overall, the loss of masculinity in men is happening right now; sadly, but women can do nothing about it, as there are many influencers which are already talking how bad man are influenced on social media, and it doesn't change a thing. Obviously, not all men are like this and there is many which are not scared to express their feelings and emotions. But like always, for many women will be known situation closer where their man is not expressing his emotions nor feelings towards them.

Some people suggest that masculinity is evolving and men are tired to be seen as breadwinners. Men want to have a sense of self-worth which won't be closely tied to the idea of earning money. In this situation, men are like feminist women but want to make themselves not only be seen as someone who earns money for the family but also like a human being with their own needs and wants.
